President Obama gathered actor Leonardo DiCaprio and environmental conservationist  Dr. Katharine Hayhoe to create an event “South by South Lawn” to bring awareness of global climate change and global conservation awareness. Modeled after similar events held during Texas’ own South by Southwest, the event brings awareness featuring innovations in technology and music. Panel discussions included topics such as “feeding the future” and “fixing real problems.”
