Texas Event Leadership Program (TELP)

Texas Event Leadership Program is directed by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in the Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Sciences at Texas A&M University. Together with Texas Festivals and Events Association (TFEA) and Texas Association of Fairs and Events (TAF&E), our program provides in-depth and relevant training for event organizers throughout the State of Texas. A certificate is awarded upon completion of the program.

Texas Friendly Hospitality Program (Texas Friendly)

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension’s Texas Friendly Hospitality Program focus on assisting communities, business leaders, as well as individuals in creating environments that foster the best possible customer service. Texas A&M AgriLife Extension provides trainings, workshops, and technical assistance regarding the importance of and skills associated with customer service.  Our signature Instructor Training course affords communities, business leaders, and Extension agents the opportunity to become certified to teach and host their own customer service workshops.

Nature Tourism Program (NT)

Helping communities, landowners,  businesses and travelers with nature based recreation & tourism  skills, planning, development, management and marketing.  We provide educational programs for the public, private business-both for profit and non-profit, landowners, and community leaders. Nature Tourism is a term used to encompass the broad range of natural resource based recreation and tourism activities. Urban and Municipal Park Program

Texas AgriLife Extension’s Urban and Municipal park programs provide technical assistance and continuing education for community leaders, community boards, park practitioners, volunteers, and friends groups. Extension faculty use relevant, unbiased research methodologies to assist communities with park practices such as: the master planning process for parks and trails, citizen input processes, needs assessments, park and trail user surveys and park and trail user counts, grant writing, and park and open space policies.

Sequor Youth Development Initiative (YDI)

The mission of the Sequor Youth Development Initiative (YDI) is to meet needs of public and not-for-profit agency managers, staff, and researchers for science based information to improve youth program staff competencies, program design and evaluation. Additionally, the Sequor YDI serves as a resource for further developing, improving, and evaluating the impact of current youth development programs and services.

Texas Coastal Watershed Program

The Texas Coastal Watershed Program offers education and outreach to local governments and citizens about the impacts of land use on watershed health and water quality. The TCWP has programs on watersmart landscaping,  habitat mapping and restoration and particularly wetlands, urban stormwater practices, watershed management  and resilient and liveable coastal cities.

Texas Water Education Network

The Water Education Network website provides front door access to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service programs focusing on Water Conservation, Water Management, Irrigation and Water quality.
